I am not ashamed really!!

Did anyone else read about this during the week?http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,,1835938,00.html
So Stephen Hawking poses this question "In a world that is in chaos politically, socially and environmentally, how can the human race sustain another 100 years?" His answer can basically be summed up by saying that we either need to leave earth and begin to populate other planets or genetic engineering needs to advance so that the aggressive gene is removed. He also hints at the fact that we haven't been visited by Aliens because we haven't yet developed enough as a race.

As a Christian - I am rightly or wrongly often made to feel ashamed of my beliefs. Perhaps i shouldn't be, but sometimes you can't help it. Yet Mr Hawking - one of the most intelligent people on the planet apperently holds some pretty out there beliefs too about space and aliens. He is putting his hope in science modifying us or getting us off the planet. I put my hope in Jesus changing lives and bringing about a kingdom where wars and famine cease - where all hurt and pain will disappear.
